The drive train consists of replacing the existing engine with a 35KW motor using the existing gearbox. The results: EVX Evolution! • Stevan Hammond: CEO

  A serial entrepreneur, Mr. Hammond has built several companies and invested in several startups. His primary business is in real estate, with companies he has owned and managed for over thirty years. As a company, EVX Laboratories considers it an honor to join other innovative technology companies at the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE competition. Our passion, our motivation and our technology will lead the way.

• Brent Stephens: Project Director

  Brent holds a doctorate in management and years of consulting experience in project management roles. Within his consulting career, Brent has consulted to over 125 small to medium sized companies, many entrepreneurial and start-up endeavors.




• Curtis Spagnolo: Chief Technology Officer, Engineer

  Curtis has a Masters degree and many years of engineering experience. Over the years, he has been with Rockwell International as a project engineer. Throughout his career, Curtis has also been involved in several startup companies focused in the alternative energy sector.




• Phil Pozderac: Chief Financial Officer, Engineer

  Phil graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors in Finance, served as the NFL Player Association Dallas Chapter Chief Financial Officer, Director of Sales for SC&T International, VP of Sales for Nextlink, CEO of both MedPact and MPACT and member of the Knights of Columbus and NTEAA. Phil is an ex Dallas Cowboy.

• Mike Gable: Fabrication Engineer

  Mike is an experienced aircraft and auto fabricator with many years of custom fabrication including automotive restoration and maintenance, steel welding, tig welding, aluminum welding, and sheet metal work. Mike has worked for Bell Helicopter and Gulfstream.




• Charles Leonard: CAD Developer

  Charles has a BSME from Hill University and CAD & Drafting Certifications for Breiphaupt Voc. Tech. Center (Detroit MI) and over 15 years of mechanical design experience including designing Tooling and Fixtures for Assembly lines and Turbine Engine Parts, complex Sheet Metal units for Autopsy and Research Equipment.

• Billy Yancey: Electrical Engineer

  Billy is an electrical engineering PhD student at Texas A&M. He holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering degree from Texas A&M and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arkansas State University. Billy has worked previously as an Electrical Engineer for EF Tech, LLC and has numerous awards and publications.

• Nathan Ehsani: Electrical Engineer

  Nathan is an electrical engineering master’s student from Texas A&M and holds a bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M. Nathan previously worked for Toshiba International Corporation in applications and research and development.




• Beryl R. Woodman II: Consultant/Fabrication Engineer

  Beryl has an engineering degree from Lansing, Michigan and over 20 years experience working as a manufacturing engineer for Lockheed Martin. Beryl is currently an active member of the NTEAA.
